To the Parallel Universe

A new day of staying at home and it was the scent of my newly opened book that brought me to another dimension. The words I read are like portals to a new realm. It was addicting.  I did not notice the time passing by because I keep on reading so I could reach the end to know whether it gives happy ending or not.

Turning pages is living another life. It gives opportunity to wander to another world. It makes me feel another sentiment. It is incessant satisfaction.

To read a book is not just for pleasure and a good thing to waste time. Researches proved that reading aids your mental health. As the events in the stories reach and implies tension, more part of the brain lit up. Hence, books are reflected as one of the best sources of knowledge. Once you open a book, you will certainly gain a new knowledge. Moreover, books are easily accessible

By reading a book, we can be entertained and relieved from stress. A group of researchers in the United States found that 30 minutes of reading lowered the feeling of psychological distress, heart rate, and even blood pressure. Reading a book is also a good remedy to have a healthier night sleep. In addition, books are very amusing and is good for your ingenious skills.

Lastly, a wide reader will be able to develop and expand his vocabulary. As for me, I immediately look for the meaning of unfamiliar terms in the books I read so as to widen my terminology. It is a fascinating moment to acquire new words you haven’t read or heard before. Some of these are tranquil, servile, serendipity and more.

According to Stephen King, “Books are a uniquely portable magic.” It paves the way to new adventure. It is a ticket to experiencing the other world as an escape to reality.
